Steps
- 01 Dashboard → Settings → Webhooks card. Click 'Add webhook'.
- 02 Enter your endpoint URL (HTTPS only). Pick events to subscribe to — multi-select chips: order.paid, refund.created, merchant.settings_update.
- 03 Save. Posz generates a one-time secret shown once in an orange reveal box. Copy it now — if you lose it, you'll have to rotate.
- 04 Verify HMAC at your endpoint: each POST has a X-Posz-Signature header (sha256 hex of raw body using your secret). Reject the request if signature doesn't match.
- 05 Test: trigger an event in Posz (e.g. close one order). Check the log in /settings → Webhooks → 'Last delivery' on the row — last_success_at updates on success, last_failure_at + error_msg on failure.
Notes
- Retry envelope: 1m → 5m → 15m → 60m. After 4 failed attempts, Posz marks the webhook unhealthy + emails the owner. Your endpoint MUST return 2xx to count as success.
- For deeper integrations (receive orders from a delivery aggregator, push menu, etc), see /docs/integrations — that's the full partner framework, not just one-way webhooks.
