Steps
- 01 First set up ingredients in /inventory: Add → name, unit (gram, ml, pcs), opening stock. E.g. 'Espresso beans' 5000 gram.
- 02 Open /recipes. Pick a menu item (e.g. 'Latte'). Click 'Add ingredient' → pick 'Espresso beans' → qty per portion (e.g. 18 gram).
- 03 Add other ingredients as needed (milk 200ml, syrup 15ml, etc). Plate cost auto-calculates — you can see per-menu margin live.
- 04 Every time a 'Latte' is sold + paid, Posz subtracts 18 gram from 'Espresso beans' stock + correspondingly for the other ingredients. View it in /inventory: stock auto-decrements.
- 05 On supplier delivery, /inventory → row → Adjust → add qty + reason ('delivery'). The stock log records everything.
Notes
- Low-stock alert: when an ingredient drops below the threshold you set, the dashboard shows a red badge on the sidebar. Threshold is set per ingredient in /inventory.
- Refund + Restore stock returns ingredients to stock. Refund without restore doesn't — useful when food was already cooked (ingredients were used regardless of whether the customer ate).
